5 Steps To Getting Better Printing

By Scott Huge

Purchasing Ink Toner

When I recently needed to purchase ink toner, I tried something new. I usually look for ink toner online and end up with so many options that I don't know which website to choose. Other times I drive over to the local office supply store and buy what I need and go about my day. Frequently I have been feeling that there has to be other options that I have yet to explore.

Last month I found that solution, ink toner refills. I felt like I may have heard of this, but had no idea what it really was. A place in my neighborhood opened; when I looked into what they did, I found out their core business service was ink cartridge refill. The business takes the ink toner cartridge that you already have and adds more ink; that's pretty much how it works. This process minimizes waste and saves money too.

If you are concerned about the garbage that your workplace or home office creates, this may be a solution that you like. Saving is something that every business and consumer thinks about, especially if the savings are easily understood as dollars. With that said ink toner refill is a great option to explore.

I became curious, wondering if the service is common once the ink toner refill business opened in my neighborhood. My research produced some interesting findings. National retailers that already have store in your area are outfitting their locations with the equipment to perform the service. Depending on the store you may be able to have your cartridge refilled while you wait, where other extend ink toner refill as a drop off service.

Do it yourself (DIY) kits are also available from ink manufacturers; I found this out with some additional research. The ease and flexibility that this affords allows a person in an office setting or working at home to easily extend the life of the cartridge they already have. Though this supplemental option is useful, occasionally I still need to buy a new ink toner cartridge.

I like occasionally using intoner refill as a means of fulfilling my ink needs, but you are out of luck of you do not have a cartridge to begin with. Even though ink refill is a great innovative service, from time to time you will have a need to purchase a brand new cartridge unused cartridge. When this need does present itself, the online retails and local office supply stores will still sell new cartridges. Take time to research cost, delivery and the reputation of the seller.

So take time to investigate cost, shipping and reviews by other customers. Large reputable national retailers often have higher cost, while cheap online retailers can have mixed reviews from past customers. Whether you decide to explore new cartridges or refills, rest assure there are endless options available; and you will find one that is correct for you.
