Technology sure has come far in the past few years. From room-sized computers to cell phones with Internet capability, technology advances every day. The iPad is a great piece of technology. Keep reading to learn about what it can do for you.

Watch your currently running apps carefully. Many of the apps the iPad runs are able to stay in the background when you're doing other things. If you would like to view the current apps that are running, double click the Home icon. Current apps will show up along the screen's bottom. Swipe down if you want to eliminate the bar after you are done looking.

If you want to browse a new web page without losing track of what you were browsing before, use the tabbed browsing feature. When in Safari, tap and hold a URL to see a popup menu. In this menu, you'll be able to get links opened in new tabs.

Do you have problems scrolling when you're searching the web? Tap the bar on the page top to jump up to the beginning of web pages. This saves you from having to scroll. This works for all of your apps.

Auto brightness really helps extend battery life. The iPad will automatically adjust its brightness depending on the room that you are in. The iPad's backlight gobbles up battery, so this function can easily extend the amount of time that you can use the iPad before charging it. You can enable this option via the "Brightness and Wallpaper" settings.

You may need to reboot the iPad with a soft reset if it freezes. Simply press down on the home button and the power button at the same time. This will prompt your device to restart. If you would rather just close down the application that you are in, push down on the home button instead.

Would you like to see more than 2 lines of text when previewing an email? In your Settings menu, click on Mail, and then find the Preview setting. Increase the number of lines listed. It will be easier to go through your emails if you can eliminate the unimportant ones right away.

A power outlet is not a necessity for charging your device. You can also use an USB port. This will enable you to charge your iPad using your computer.

If you know how to use it, the iPad is wonderful. It generally revolves around one single button plus the actual touch screen. Play around with your iPad and you can discover some cool things. You'll marvel at how easy it is to use.

Did you know you can connect your TV to your iPad? This can be done through a special adapter. The AV digital adapter will do this, or you can also use the VGA Apple adapter. Either one will work.

Double tap the word you'd like to copy, it's as simple as that! Double tapping just selects one word, and you'd need to drag the little dots to select more words. Tap your chosen editable text four times and you will have copied out the whole paragraph. You can also use this method for the web address bar.

Have you ever lost an important item and felt terrible? Well, you don't have to worry about this with your iPad thanks to its "Find My iPad" option. This will make it so that if your iPad is lost or stolen you can find it using its internal GPS system or even delete information from it instantly if need be. You will be incredibly grateful to have enabled this feature should your iPad ever become lost or stolen.

If you are an iPad user you no doubt love it. Learn all that you can to make the most of iPad in your daily life. By heeding the information found above, you will be ready to take full advantage of what the iPad has to offer.
